"When playing Hush, It is important to keep at least one Equipment in play and in your hand if you are able, as she has no trash recursion to grab her more important pieces if destroyed, so keeping a spare is always important. Blade Dance is one Hush's most important cards as that can lead into more plays that can synergize with "Venomous Ambush" or "Scattered Petals" to retrieve Blade Dance before its own destruction!
Blooming Chakra has a hidden trick where if you retrieve a card in play that draws a card when leaving play, you are able to draw 4 cards instead of 3!" - Copper-Otter
Bio
Makoto is among the rarefied few active practitioners of the kunoichi way in this day and age - though it is a path navigated in secrecy by hidden sects still cultivating operatives from the shadows. One such sect utilized orphans, more often than not, trained from an early age and sculpted into clandestine agents, infiltrators and assassins - boasting combat techniques and subterfuge coupled with sorcerous jutsu to accomplish their charges.
While many of Makoto's brethren in such pursuits benefited from bloodlines and lineages providing them extraordinary capabilities, Makoto herself possessed only raw drive and tenacity - and it is through that determination and endurance that she excelled in spite of her mundane limitations. However, like many of her kin, Makoto was wielded towards ends largely not of her own choosing, one among many tools for extensions of the shadowy organization known as the Umbral Estate and their associates.
For years, Makoto operated under the moniker Hush as an assassin and femme fatale at the behest of her masters, often in a rivalry with the kunoichi Stitch - who unlike Hush, possessed extraordinary capabilities thanks to a bloodline all but extinct, allowing her remarkable foresight. While Stitch was most often utilized against more unusual or supernatural targets, there was a particular assignment she refused to pursue. In this, the target was a young woman purported to wield a phenomenal power of prophecy and sorcerous talent known as 'The Empress.'
Over several weeks Hush pursuit The Empress, whose movements and whereabouts proved exceedingly elusive - but when at last she located her, Hush found her under the protection of an unusual woman of rapier and wit - a Duelist whose anachronistic fighting style and bravado proved unexpectedly formidable. The two fought to a veritable standstill, but it proved time enough for The Empress to entreat Hush herself and foretell of the tapestry of fate - and Hush's thread upon it, along with the truth behind her masters.
In this, Hush was perhaps ironically freed from the fate she had been dealt, but left masterless. Of her own volition, she took up the mantle of protector for The Empress in kind alongside the Duelist and those other fated individuals who would prepare for what perils lied ahead in the future to come. In such pursuits, Hush remained elusive to others - though her path would bring her to fight alongside the Wardens of the Peak among others in her charge.
