Bio

Founded in 1743 by enterprising settlers desperate enough to carve a life from a swath of swampy coastal wilderness, Duskveil Falls has survived - and somehow thrived - through centuries of turmoil. What began as a meager portage midst the marshlands has billowed into a veritable behemoth of urban sprawl, with towering heights and crowded streets choked with commerce and industry.

Over the past few decades, the population of Duskveil Falls has continued to grow exponentially, driven in no small part by its position as a vital artery for domestic and international trade. As one of the world's busiest shipping ports, Duskveil Falls thrives on a steady flow of wealth—but beneath those prosperous heights lies a decaying core.

A sinister pall hangs over Duskveil, subtly felt among its sprawling slums and tangled alleyways - and while most believe Duskveil was built off the back of determination, grit, and resilience — some claim that its earliest founders struck fell bargains: for over a century, rumors of an elusive 'Umbral Estate' have persisted in urban legend.

Rampant corruption and organized crime grip the city, its vast population plagued with a staggering crime rate. Despite this, there are vigilantes, lawless renegades and a precious few dedicated souls among the city's civil servants fighting to protect the innocent and pursue justice even as unusual threats grow ever-more commonplace.

However, with police spread thin and a heated mayoral election underway, Duskveil Falls teeters on the brink - a powder keg waiting for a seemingly inevitable spark cast from among the shadows.
