Performing cutting edge research with minimal oversight and maximal funding, the Garden of Babylon Research Facility is a discretely hidden laboratory owned and operated by Shepherd & Strauss Pharmaceuticals. Within the Garden, researchers experiment extensively with all manner of organism, flora and fauna - and with the advent of 'metahumans' in the world at large, further studies have broadened to creatures which could be considered 'bioweapons.'

Led by Dr. Cecilia Strix, the Garden of Babylon Research Facility's team of doctors and scientists have managed phenomenal breakthroughs in metamorphic genetic alterations with rapid reconfiguration of key proteins and structures. While credit for the medical application of this technology is owed to Dr. Shivani Mishra, a former member of the laboratory, the potential applications in navigating hostile environments or contending with 'super-powered' opponents are notable.

For several weeks the Otherworldly Threat Tactical Response (O.T.T.R.) task force has been working to locate the whereabouts of the facility - a task made simpler by the site-wide alarm state and distress calls. With operatives dispatched to the scene, additional heroic backup has been requested to help provide cover against the potentially myriad inhuman, and possibly human, threats therein
